Through the combination of intaglio+monotype prints, photography, and storytelling, this exhibition juxtaposes the perception of suburbia to the reality of the place. Juxtaposing not only perception and reality, but artwork with qualitative research, the stories of those that call suburbia home are brought to light. This positioning of art and story encourages the viewer to understand the reasons for people to live in the suburbs, and how, to those people, suburbia represented their American Dream.
